Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager I

Location: St Patrick’s Cheshire, Tullow Co Carlow

The Role:
Operating out of a social model of disability, you will have responsibility to ensure the highest standards of nursing care are delivered to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of individuals with physical and neurological disabilities receiving Cheshire Ireland services. This role provides care and support to individuals living and you will be required to establish and maintain relationships with individuals with disabilities that are based on respect and equality and that promote their independence.
To firstly provide clinical and professional leadership to nursing and frontline care support teams working across the continuum of Cheshire Ireland Services including residential, respite, and community settings. Secondly to provide supervision and support to the nursing functions with associated services as required. To act as the Service Managers approved designate during period of leave or as required. It is critical that when undertaking your work that you do so in a manner that is consistent with Cheshire Ireland’s values, operating ethos and standards.

The Person:
• In possession of a nursing qualification and registered in the general division with An Bord Altranais.
• A minimum of 3 years post registration experience and currently operating at CNM1 or Senior Staff Nurse level.
• Have line management or significant supervisory experience within the disability or broad personal social services field.
• Have experience in the delivery of training to staff at all levels
• Can demonstrate evidence-based decision making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is essential)
• In possession of the necessary documentation to work and live in the Republic of Ireland.
• In possession of a full clean driving licence and willing to travel to other Cheshire services and work outside of normal working hours where required.
• Ability to speak and write English fluently

Salary range: Dependent on experience
