THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Communications & Engagement Manager will conceptualise, plan and implement the Organisation’s internal and external communications strategy. They will be required to develop the brand and build the awareness of the Organisation through different communication tools such as marketing, branding, public relations, and social media along with building relationships with external Organisations and Agencies. The Communications & Engagement Manager will also support the Executive Team and all Advocacy and Fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Qualified to degree level. Communications discipline is desirable but not essential.
5 years’ experience in a communications or marketing role with specific responsibility for social media
Relevant experience in developing and implementing media, advocacy and marketing campaigns
Experience in project management with a proven track record of delivering on objectives and working with a number of external agencies
Social media and digital marketing experience
Proven experience of representing an Organisation in the public and/or media
Previous experience of working in an area of disability/ illness, and a general understanding of the not-for-profit sector and political environment in Ireland is desirable.
