Community Fundraiser – Munster – Irish Cancer Society

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Irish Cancer Society is the national cancer charity in Ireland dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by cancer. They combine relentless passion with the wisdom of over 50 years’ of experience to make this vision a reality.

The Irish Cancer Society save lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and fighting back. This is achieved by funding life-saving, collaborative cancer research, providing up to date information about cancer, delivering a range of services to improve the lives of people living with cancer and their families, and by influencing change and raising awareness of cancer issues at the government level.

THE ROLE:
The Community Fundraiser will coordinate, drive and deliver community fundraising activities in the Munster region (consisting of Cork, Kerry, Tipperary, Waterford) to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with national and regional plans and strategies. Key responsibilities will include facilitating the development of volunteer networks across the region and developing supporter care activities designed to deliver excellent communication and support to a wide range of audiences. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets combined with a good working knowledge of budgets.
