Care After Prison is an information, referral and support service for those affected by imprisonment. We provide a non-judgemental and holistic service to assist people in returning to their communities and living crime-free lives. We also provide support to prisoners’ families and victims.

Care After Prison receives funding from the Irish Prison Service to assist in the running of a Community Support Scheme (CSS). The Community Support Scheme is aimed at prisoners serving between 3-12 months. We are now recruiting a Community Support Scheme Manager.

The Community Support Scheme manager coordinates the CSS project as part of Care After Prison’s service offerings.

Key responsibilities include:

– Case management of short-term prisoners;

– In-reach and community support of service users;

– Reporting and communicating to Director of Services and Irish Prison Service;

– Supervise keyworkers;

– Collaborate with relevant agencies.

This is a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2016, and may be extended provided the requisite funding has been obtained.
