Corporate Engagement Executive – NCBI – Dublin

NCBI, the national sight loss agency, is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss. We also provide a range of services to public and private organisations to make sure that their services are accessible to people who are blind and vision impaired.

We have over 160 staff who deliver our services and are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers throughout the country. We also have a dedicated team of employees and volunteers in our 72 retail shops around the country.

NCBI Foundation currently has an exciting opportunity in the Dublin office for a Corporate Engagement Executive. The Corporate Engagement Executive role will build on the NCBI’s existing corporate contacts and the newly developed Corporate Membership Scheme.

The above activity will be based on

The NCBI Fundraising Strategy
Clearly defined performance standards and fundraising targets

Qualifications and Experience required:

Relevant qualification or equivalent business experience and ideally should hold, be working towards or aspire to a recognized fundraising qualification e.g the IoF Certificate in Fundraising Management or CFRE Certificate.
Minimum  3 years’ experience in a professional working environment such as fundraising / marketing / business development, with a proven track record of building income
Experience of networking and developing commercial relationships
Understanding of CSR and/or the voluntary/not-for-profit sector
Experience of CRM systems

Skills:

Strong business development skills with a commercial acumen
Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Databases etc)
Ability to build, develop and maintain databases of corporate contacts, targets and potential targets

Salary and Benefits:

€35,000 – €45,000 depending on experience

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Deliver on a Corporate Development Strategy integrated with the NCBI Fundraising Strategy, in conjunction with the Foundation team, to meet the strategic and financial objectives
Build relationships with NCBI’s existing supporters with the aim of establishing a proactive network of participants from the corporate community taking part in established fundraising events, organizing their own workplace based events or supporting the NCBI’s fundraising activities
Build a comprehensive database of corporate information around charity engagement, continue to update any database or CRM system to ensure it remains effective.
Market each corporate event to current supporters to oversee the design and printing of all promotional materials
Liaise with local, regional and national Companies to garner support and membership for the NCBI Corporate Membership Scheme
Organisation and delivery of corporate events, including various information events and fundraising events aimed at a corporate audience
Improve our corporate market research capability and keep abreast of market trends and developments
Operate within our Fundraising Standards (www.ncbi.ie/fundraising/ncbis-fundraising-standards)
Recruit new volunteers and contacts from the corporate environment and ensure they are appropriately supported and developed
Other fundraising and support duties as required
