The role of Corporate Responsibility (CR) Executive is to assist the consultants within the Membership Services Team to deliver on the Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) services to member companies. The CR Executive will help implement BITCI’s development strategy, particularly in relation to working with major companies on embedding responsible and sustainable business practices across the organisation. The role is based in Dublin City Centre and some travel may be required. The role reports to the Manager of our Membership Services Team. There are no direct reports but at times there may be some responsibility for interns, volunteers and casual staff.

Responsibilities

Support the Membership Services Team to manage the portfolio of client accounts.  The CR Executive will be assigned a portfolio of clients and will support the main account manager.
Analysis and write up of account management reports, participation and facilitation at meetings, drafting of meeting and project notes, deliver appropriate follow-on actions for individual companies and carrying out research for client companies.
The CR Executive will have responsibility in delivering some core membership advisory services on a one-to-one basis e.g. community mapping, employee programmes.
Deliver and support the project management of the Business Working Responsibly Mark including:
support to account managers on Mark process and tasks, management of Steering Groups, assist with management of internal processes & procedures, assist with aspects of research and analysis, provide IT support including questionnaire maintenance and website changes.
Manage and assist with the delivery of the network event programme including network meetings, expert seminars/workshops and working group meetings under strategic projects.
Design and support the facilitation of client meetings and workshops for companies.
Support the delivery of strategic projects for member companies’ e.g. community & voluntary capacity building programme.
Represent the organisation externally through attendance at various events, hosting of trade stands.

Any other duties assigned by the manager

Skills Required

Educated to degree level
Knowledge of business operations and CR issues that are relevant to Irish companies
Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the various business sectoral networks and civil society organisations in Ireland
At least 2 years experience of working within a CR or sustainability department of a business, or a major organisation on consulting, or relevant in-house position

Skills and Personal Attributes

Excellent research and prospecting skills and experience
Good problem solving, planning and strategic thinking skills demonstrated in work experience
Knowledge of Irish business with a keen interest in social and economic issues
Highly motivated and enthusiastic
Ability to work on one’s own initiative, as well as part of a team
Ability to work to deadlines and have excellent time management skills
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Computer literate and fully conversant with the Microsoft Office suite
Prepared to attend evening events and functions outside office hours in accordance with the fulfilment of the job description
Prepared to travel and attend events outside of normal working hours as required
Honest, professional and committed
Experience of large companies and change management processes
Awareness of best practice models in corporate responsibility and sustainability management
Experience in event management
