Our group comprises a number of the leading industrial distribution businesses in Ireland. A key element of our growth strategy is the Alliance Programme. This programme is built around the concept of vendor managed inventory or VMI. Under the programme we assume responsibility for maintaining the inventory levels at customer store locations on certain categories. We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Alliance Programme team and administer the VMI system. This is a challenging role in a complex and evolving IT and business environment. The key responsibilities of the role will include..1:Operation of the VMI system, generation of recommended orders, maintenance of operational schedule, liaising with inside sales staff and field sales reps 2:Data management, maintenance of VMI listings, maintenance of replenishment parameters, liaising with Listings Coordinators, 3:Analysis and reporting, preparation of scheduled and ad-hoc analysis
Skills Requirements
An IT-related qualification is essential for this position along with some experience in manipulating and managing large datasets. A high level of expertise in MS Excel is also essential. Knowledge of MS Access, MS Dynamics NAV and MS SQL Server would be a distinct advantage. Ideally the successful candidate will also have experience of working in a customer service role and will be able to work as part of a team
