Empowerment Plus are seeking to recruit for the position of SFP Development Coordinator.
This post is 39 hours per week and is funded until 31st August, 2016. It is a fixed term contract of definite duration.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Strengthening Families Programme (SFP) is a 14-session family skills training programme designed to help parents and teens aged 12-16year to build positive family relationships. In Galway the Strengthening Families Programme currently has working groups established in Galway city, Connemara, Ballinasloe and Tuam: each group is a multi-agency team, formed of workers from statutory, voluntary and community agencies who will work together with the Development Coordinator to plan and implement the 14 week programme. An interagency steering group will provide strategic direction for the project and support to the Coordinator.
The Development Coordinator will;
Be responsible for the day to day operational management of the Strengthening Families Programme (SFP) in Galway city and county.
Effectively manage all attributed resources of the programme within agreed financial limits.
Provide effective leadership to SFP facilitators and ensure programme delivery is planned and implemented to agreed timeframe.
Site Coordinate on planned SFP programmes
Provide update reports to the SFP Steering Committee and St. Vincent de Paul.
Facilitate on the SFP where needed.
The Successful candidate will have:
Proven effective leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
Proven experience of Interagency and Multi-Agency work
A desire to work with families- including parents and teens
Knowledge of contemporary family issues
Ability to use own initiative
Willingness to work flexible hours
