Development Officer – Childhood Development Initiative – Dublin

Under the DCYA’s Area Based Childhood Programme (ABC), the Childhood Development Initiative (CDI) are recruiting a Development Officer to lead and support the development and implementation of two specific CDI programmes, which support the needs of families in Tallaght West.

The key objectives of the Development Officer role will be to:

Provide strategic leadership for the Ante-Natal to Three Initiative (ATTI);
Enable realisation of the strategic plan for the initiative;
Harness and motivate energy for ATTI;
Support the quality and sustainability of CDI’s Parent Carer Facilitators (PCFs) who work in the early years services to support families.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and expertise:     

Experience of working across organisations and sectors to improve outcomes for children and families or other population groups;
Significant knowledge and management experience of statutory and voluntary children’s services in Ireland (at national and local level);
Experience of practical implementation of large scale services, programmes or strategies and the ability to build and maintain effective interagency and cross-sectoral working relationships;
Commitment, knowledge and experience of research, evidence, evaluation and informing policy.
Project and change management expertise, including understanding of and ability to manage complex projects;
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

The Childhood Development Initiative is an equal opportunities employer.  This is a fixed-term full-time post up to the 31st of August 2016, on a salary scale of €40,000 – €52,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on qualifications and experience.
