Event Manager Silver Surfer Awards and Positive Ageing Week

Age Action is seeking to employ an Event Manager to plan and implement our 2015 Silver Surfer Awards and to coordinate Positive Ageing Week both of which will be held in October 2015. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience of event management and planning successful campaigns. The person must also have excellent project management and communication skills, ability to speak and write fluently in English, proven track record in presentation and organisational skills and experience working in event management.

The Person

The person should have excellent project management skills, teamwork and a track record of working well with groups and individuals.  Ability to communicate with a variety of different groups both verbally and in writing.  Must be a self-starter and able to work on own initiative. Experience of working with older people and volunteers would be desirable.

Conditions of Service

This is a full time fixed term contract up to 26th October. The person appointed will be included in Age Action’s Death in Service Benefit Scheme.
