Family Resource Centre Manager – Coiste Áiseanna na hÓige – Co Chiarraí

Áiseanna na hÓige is a purpose-built childcare, pre-school and family support centre. Some of the premises is leased to the providers of Early Years services. Coiste Áiseanna na hÓige is the community-based organisation that co-ordinates the use of the premises as well as directly providing a range of services including School-Age childcare and family support.

Person Specification
This Person Specification is a description of the relevant skills, experience and qualifications that are required for the position of Manager.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Important Qualifications
A relevant third-level qualification – minimum Level 7 (for example: Family Support Practice, Community Development, Community Sector Management).
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in any of the following:
community sector project management
community development
family support in a community-based setting.
A high level of personal initiative to realise a vision within a highly-regulated environment.
Experience of managing, supervising and supporting staff.
Experience of implementing a governance framework informed by best practice.
Experience of working collaboratively at an inter-agency level.
Familiarity with Children First National Guidance and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Experience of Strategic and Operational Planning.
Experience of Financial Management (to include sourcing funds).
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Irish and English.
Excellent administration, self-management and ICT skills.
Access to own transport with full driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience of working with a Voluntary Board of Directors
Knowledge / experience of working within TUSLA Meitheal National Practice Model.
Knowledge of the language context of the Gaeltacht.
Experience managing a building/facility.
