About The role / person
Samaritans is looking for a strategic Fundraising Manager to join the Samaritans Ireland team for a period of 2 years to help achieve the four key goals within Samaritans ‘Working Together to Reduce Suicide strategy 2015 – 2021’.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the desire to work with colleagues across the charity to ensure that challenging fundraising targets are met, that Samaritans contractual obligations with donors are adhered to and develop compelling proposals for the benefit of Samaritans Ireland and the wider charity.

Samaritans is a unique charity that provides support to people who are struggling to cope. Last year our volunteers responded to a call for help every six seconds, and with more than 20,000 volunteers and around 150 staff, our volunteers and staff have been providing emotional support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for over 60 years.
Location
The position is based in Dublin. However due to the nature of the role there will be a requirement to travel to the Central Charity in England on occasion to liaise with the communications team in Samaritans’ General Office in Surrey, UK. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
