GRANTS MANGER – JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Grants Manager will lead Front Line Defenders’ established process of engagement with its consortium of private and government institutional donors based throughout Europe, the USA and elsewhere.

LOCATION:  2nd Floor, Grattan House, Temple Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin

REPORTS TO:  The Head of Development.

KEY TASKS

Daily oversight and management of the organization’s funding portfolio of circa 30 funding partners. This includes:

management of all reporting deadlines,
Internal monitoring of contractual obligations laid out in donor agreements,
engagement with Front Line Defenders staff to ensure the timely and effective management of projects associated with grant agreements.
Report Writing: The provision of timely narrative & financial reporting of excellent quality. This includes:
narrative reporting of Front Line Defenders project and programme activities as required by each institutional donor contact,
financial reporting of Front Line Defenders programme/project expenditure relating to institutional donor contacts.
Proposal Writing: Drafting programme & project-based proposals in cooperation with the Head of Development.
Ongoing engagement with established institutional funding partners which include Government Ministries and private foundations based throughout Europe, the US and elsewhere. This includes:
direct engagement with donor representatives to ensure that each is kept aware of developments and achievements of Front Line Defenders, that reporting requirements are clearly defined, etc.,
management of all donor agreements within the context of the organization’s database. This will include the routine employment of results/impact data contained within Front Line Defenders’ databas

Preferred start of assignment is end of August 2015.
