Head of Development
The Head of Development will create short- and long-term development strategies for the Chester Beatty Library with a view to maximising the income generated to support its Mission and Strategy. The main focus of this role is to identify and engage with prospective donors (individuals, corporations and foundations), with a view to delivering significant new funding for the Library, both nationally and internationally.
The range and quality of the Chester Beatty collections have a particular, indeed unique, relevance in today’s multicultural Ireland. The Library has the potential to develop relationships not only in Europe and the US, but also in the Middle East and in Asia. These relationships take time to cultivate, and together with the Director, the Head of Development will play a key role in this regard, dedicated to the long-term and time demanding tasks of researching prospective funders, developing relationships and sourcing funds.
