Description

The ideal applicant will be responsible for the overall business management of the Health & Fitness Club including Health & Safety. The experienced Manager will report directly to the General Manager. Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Manage, train & lead the health club team; Undertake administrative tasks, monthly reporting, stock control, budgets, rosters & training; Enhance profitability by organising and delivering an appropriate range of fitness activities & programmes; Maintain fitness equipment whilst also ensuring standards & cleanliness levels are maintained at all times; Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation; Maintain customer service standards; Promote & market the business; Deal with enquiries, complaints & emergencies; Manage existing timetable of fitness classes & swimming lessons; Conduct assessments & develop fitness programmes for members; Upsell the facilities to encourage new members; Operate pool facilities incl. pool plant.

Skills Requirements

Suitable qualifications in the following areas are essential: Fitness Instruction; Full Swim Instructor Qualifications; Pool Lifeguard Certification & Occupational First Aid; Pool Plant Operators Certificate; Manual Handling Trainer (an advantage); Previous experience of Premier (an advantage. The ideal candidate will have the following key skills: Excellent team management skills; Strong leadership skills; Proven sales skills; Excellent communication skills; A positive attitude.
