The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer. Working as part of the Housing Management Team the Housing Officer will deliver a high quality housing management service to residents and tenants in our properties. The Housing Officer will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of a full range of housing management activities including; nomination and allocations, rent management, estate management, condition and maintenance reports whilst achieving agreed targets in Voids, Rent Arrears and Repairs.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
Undertake scheduled reviews and audits of housing programmes/services and report to service manager monthly. Compile and maintain statistics related to service programmes
Ensure all appropriate tenant related records, assessments and interventions are logged accurately and timely
Ensure compliance with internal and external agency systems including PASS, good record keeping guidelines and usage of the Pass and Internal IT Systems
Manage applications/nominations for housing and ensure appropriate and timely processing, assessment and allocations
Develop and maintain effective relationships with the local housing authority and other agencies
Procure and verify the income details of all tenants/residents
Update and process the income details database and finance dept.
Inspect Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow Simon Community properties
Record and identify causes of damage to property
Ensure provision of the maintenance and repair service in line with the repairs and maintenance policy
Record all day–to-day reported repairs and maintain the maintenance reporting system
Support Dublin Simon Community management and service team in the implementation of the strategic and operational action plan
We are looking for an individual A recognised third level qualification to degree level in a relevant discipline. You must have Knowledge of the social housing sector, housing legislation, property development, technical aspects of void, rent, repairs and maintenance. Financial appreciation and budget management skills. Full valid driving licence is essential
