We now have an opportunity for an experienced Housing Officer to join our existing team within our Dublin office. The day to day workplace will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Job description:. Working as part of the Housing Management Team the Housing Officer will deliver a high quality housing management service to residents on our estates. The area covered may include housing estates in counties Louth, Monaghan, Meath, Wicklow and Dublin. You will be responsible for the provision of a professional and best practice service in estate management, maintenance of properties and tenancies, whilst achieving agreed targets in voids management, rent arrears and repairs. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a similar role and be an enthusiastic individual who wants to work as part of a dynamic team.
General duties will include:
Managing a housing stock on a day to day basis, Monday to Friday, seven hours per day, being available outside normal working hours. (Time off in Lieu will be given in line with the Association’s policy).
Acting as primary contact for every resident in your area, responding to all tenancy/leasing enquiries referred from our residents, other agencies and Head Office.
Letting and allocating properties and managing voids as per the Associations Relet Policy
Managing rent collection, service charge and sundry debt arrears to prescribed objectives, providing residents in need with advice and support to sustain tenancies;
Issuing maintenance works orders as appropriate, arising from estate visits or resident contact.
Utilising the housing management computer system for the up-to-date administration and maintenance of all relevant housing management files
Producing reports as required on housing management for all schemes in your allocated estates.
Supporting community activities in designated estates.

Excellent and confident communicator at all levels
The ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to plan, organise and implement work, on own initiative, with minimum direct supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and flexibly
Qualifications required:
Minimum of 3 years previous practical experience in housing area.
Property or Professional Housing Management Qualification is desirable but not essential.
Full driving licence.
