Human Resources Superannuation Officer Grade V – Cheeverstown House

This contract will initially be for six months and may be extended. We are looking for an experienced HR Superannuation Professional to join our HR Department. Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will be managing the organisations’ Superannuation and Pension Schemes.

As the Superannuation Officer, you will provide excellent service to customers on all pension schemes and associated products.

Experience of dealing with Public Sector Pension Schemes, Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pension Schemes is essential.

Responsibilities will include
Management of the organisations’ Nominated Health Agencies and Voluntary Hospital Superannuation Schemes, Spouses and Children’s Contributory Pension Schemes and Single Public Sector Pension Schemes
Ensure that all aspects of the day to day administration of the organisations Superannuation function is delivered to the highest standard
Manage a broad range of customer queries
Ensure pension schemes adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements
Prepare Service Statements, Calculate Benefit Statements and ensure all transfer/retirement requests completed to the highest standard
Analyse and prepare HR reports in relation to pension office
Coordinate and process all scheme applications and amendments
Essential Requirements

Minimum of 4 – 5 years’ relevant experience, of which, one must be in Public Sector superannuation schemes

Relevant Third Level Qualification
The Successful Candidate
Qualified Financial Advisor qualification desirable but not essential
Knowledge of HR/Payroll systems desirable
Be familiar with AVCs
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise work-load
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as required
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary and Benefits
Salary will be paid at Grade V Clerical pay scale, as per current Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
26 Days Annual Leave Per Year, Plus 9 Public Holidays (pro rata)
