Key Responsibilities
Delivery of target:
You will be responsible for meeting overall annual income targets, within budget, and delivering on all KPIs for the area to ensure long term growth of the individual giving and corporate philanthropy income stream.
Strategy, Planning & Implementation
Develop the individual giving and corporate fundraising strategies to achieve annual income, expenditure and KPI’s in line with overall strategy including supporter acquisition, supporter retention, supporter value, supporter lifetime value, return on investment, supporter enhancement rates (upgrade, conversion, uplift, cross sell).
Develop and implement the annual plan to deliver on strategy to include the ongoing monitoring and reporting on performance against KPI’s, reporting to the directors and adjusting plans to ensure delivery across channels.
Develop a supporter relationship strategy and implementation plan to deepen relationships with Pieta, motivate repeat participation/support and build lifetime value. Systemising supporter activities so that all supporter activity targets are managed, and lifecycle based to enhance overall retention and value.
Development of a data-led strategic approach to all supporter development and acquisition plans.
Develop, test and drive key fundraising activities with individual donors ensuring direct marketing and overall core campaign is leveraged to deliver supporters and income.
Development of tried and tested fundraising products and propositions that help drive growth of regular supporters.
Data, Systems and Analytics
Develop and manage the CRM system for individual giving.
Development of data led segmentation and personalisation planning for all supporter development
Profiling of supporters and development of key insights and understanding of all supporter, key metrics, key triggers for giving, attrition and engagement
Working with team and external partners to ensure all insights are actioned and used to develop future plans for acquisition, retention, and enhancement.
Management
Foster a dynamic, ambitious, outcome focused and professional team culture that encourages a willingness to learn, test and trial new methods of fundraising.
Develop individual team member goals, training, development and coaching plans to ensure all team members develop best practice, future orientated fundraising skills.
Outline and implement succession plans ensuring the development of a wide range of skills across the team and enabling both cross wards and upwards mobility for each team member.
Management of agencies employed to help deliver programmes of activity with the public.
Cross-team working
Work closely and professionally with the wider fundraising and marketing team to develop integrated campaigns, key messages and fundraising to deliver key goals.
Work with any external agencies and 3rd party supports that are required to deliver the activities to represent Pieta in the best light.
Budgets and Reporting
Management of team costs and expenditure budgets on an on-going basis ensuring all activity is implemented within budget and within defined cost ratios.
Coordination of key suite of reports to determine viability of each channel and line of fundraising portfolio
General
Undertake any relevant work delegated by the Directors of Fundraising and Advocacy
Participate in cross-departmental working groups, management meetings and workshops as required
Share Pieta’s values, participate as a full member of the team and support activities across the whole organisation as appropriate.
Engage in regular one to one sessions with the Directors of Fundraising and Advocacy.
Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with your manager
Be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your manager or Health & Safety Representative
Education
Third level degree in strategic marketing or business development is required
Skills & Experience Required
Three years’ experience of managing large and complex target driven direct marketing, fundraising acquisition programmes delivering in excess of €3m.
Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record in a data-led approach to supporter development or large scale database management and direct marketing experience.
Has demonstrated the ability to grow a professional fundraising team from low levels of income to €1m plus with limited resources.
Has demonstrated leadership in implementing best practice GDPR process within the charity sector.
Highly developed leadership, management and team building skills

Excellent interpersonal skills to lead and motivate staff, volunteers and supporters

Location: Remotely initially. Thereafter: Pieta Head Office, Greenhills Retail Park, Tallaght, Dublin
Position Type: Permanent position, 40 hours per week.
Salary: Depending on experience
Annual Leave: 20 days per annum
