Advancing Recovery in Ireland is one of the national initiatives contained in the ‘National Mental Health Division’ operational plan for 2017 to support the development and enhancement of recovery orientated services. ARI supports a whole organisational approach to developing a recovery orientated service. It recognises that to progress, sustain and embed recovery, the service must have a clear vision, strategy and implementation plan in relation to service user & family participation, staff training and innovating new service options and practice. To achieve this ARI seeks to provide strategic and consultancy support on best practice and structures that will enable services to move towards recovery orientation in an appropriate manner. ARI National Office also leads out on the development of frameworks, resources and guidance to support services in achieving their objectives.
Purpose of the Job
The Joint Managing Partner will co-lead the ARI national team to actively manage, develop and coordinate the ARI initiative across mental health services in Ireland as an expert by experience. Work closely with the the HSE’s National Mental Health Division and other departments to set the overall direction and effective vision of ARI in delivering its strategic and operational plans. Model and be an ambassador for a collaborative stakeholder approach to developing recovery orientated services

The Joint Managing Partner will be employed by Mental Health Ireland and seconded to the National ARI Office, HSE. The position is full-time, 37 hours a week with flexible working hours including potential for evening work and occasional weekend working. The position is a two year fixed term contract and the salary is aligned to Grade VII HSE – €47,015.
