Maintenance and Facilities Administrator – Milltown Park Jesuit Community

The Complex, situated in a large green-field site in Dublin 6, consists of both modern and older buildings, and includes a nursing facility and religious residence.

The Maintenance and Facilities Administrator is a key member of a six person Administrative team, with lunch and car parking facilities included.
He or she should be over 25 years of age with a full clean driving licence.
Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance and Facilities Administrator
Servicing, maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, P.A./ audio, computerised settings, and fire systems within the Milltown complex.
The person will be the Safety Officer for the Milltown Park complex with responsibility for implementation of Health & Safety Systems and Regulations, Risk assessment, Safety statements, chairing bi-annual Safety review, and be open to accept further training.
He/she will monitor Energy Conservation, Utilities and environmental management, including Recycling, Energy efficiency, Etc.
Provide annual budget input for relevant areas of responsibility.
Develop strong working relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers.
A proven record of prioritising competing demands. Administration and record- keeping skills, including flagging anticipated maintenance needs.
Planning and scheduling servicing, maintenance and repairs, and being Liaison person with visiting suppliers and technicians, while reporting and following up with other Line Managers in all relevant areas.
Be flexible, reliable, proactive, self-motivated, outgoing, professional, solution focussed, able to execute continuous improvement across sites with tangible outcomes.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE
A competency in Electricals and Plumbing, Carpentry and General Maintenance.
A sound understanding of legal, health & safety and financial aspects of property and facilities management
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
A good command of the English language at a technical level.
Good people skills and the ability to work with people from a wide variety of
backgrounds.
Proven negotiation skills – with both colleagues and external contractors/ suppliers.
A proven ‘hands-on’ approach with strong technical/analytical background, capable of analysis across a broad range of topics, with a problem solving approach, practical ‘know-how’ experience, and capable of generating summary recommendations, and reports, and with appropriate follow-up record keeping skills.

Conditions: Mon to Friday 8.00am-4.00pm

Commencement: Tues 6th June 2017

Salary: € 32,000.00 per annum + pension contribution offered after probation period
