Manager – KASA

KASA provides
a safe, non-judgemental, and discreet space for women and men aged 14 and over who have experienced rape, sexual assault, past childhood sexual abuse or any sexual trauma at any time in their lives, to receive one to one Counselling and Support. KASA also provides Support Counselling for non-abusing relatives or friends of Survivors.

Overview of main duties and responsibilities:
Oversee the efficient and effective day- to day operations of the organisation
Develop, review, and monitor operational policies and procedures
Act as a professional advisor to the Board of Directors on all aspects of the organisation’s activities
Monitor adherence by KASA Counsellors to Professional Codes of Practice and Ethics
Financial Management to include grant applications, budgets, reporting, planning, and forecasting
Act as the spokesperson and representative on the production of press releases and media interviews
Establish excellent working relationships and collaborative arrangements with TUSLA and other Statutory and Voluntary organisation to help achieve the goals of the organisation
Maintain and adhere to high quality standards of services as designed by the organisation
Other ad-hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate
Applicants should possess at closing date for applications;
A minimum of 3 years’ management experience in the health, voluntary or community development sector
A relevant third level qualification (preferably, level 8) in Community Development, Social Care, Healthcare Management and/or a demonstratable track record of working within these fields
A thorough understanding of the sector, knowledge of the counselling process, and the policy and practice issues involved in providing a service in the area of sexual violence and abuse
Previous experience in a dynamic service driven environment
Proven ability of building positive working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
Experience of policy development, strategic planning, and budget management
Flexibility in attitude and approach to the job
Proficient in MS Office
