DUTIES
Managing rent accounts and ensure any rent arrears are recovered
Undertaking and managing rent assessments
Ensuring tenants understand the rights and responsibilities as set down in the tenancy agreement
Responding to repairs and maintenance when reported
Managing void properties, lettings and allocations efficiently and effectively
Dealing with complaints in an effective manner
Assisting the Board in reviewing Policies and Procedures
Developing and maintain strong relationships with relevant agencies
Identifying and pursuing possible opportunities for growth
Working with the Board to set annual budgets
Managing Banking and basic accounts
Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the post
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds
A knowledge of the social, voluntary or housing sector an advantage
Experience of working in a person focused role
Skilled in working on own initiative
An understanding of landlord and tenant obligations
Ability to organise, prioritise and manage a varied work load
Have excellent written and oral communication skills
The candidate is required to have their own transport and have a full driving licence.
