Waterford City Local Employment Service provides a range of labour market guidance and support services to unemployed job seekers living in the Waterford City catchment area. The WCLES goal is to provide a range a quality professional services to unemployed job seekers, in particular those most distant from the labour market to help them find suitable employment. The successful applicant must have excellent organisational and strategic planning qualities with an understanding of the effects of unemployment. The person entrusted with the position will require a high level of innovation, be energetic, self- starting and be a good team player. Applicants should be prepared to work some occasional flexible hours. The successful candidate must have: Strong Ability to manage people effectively by setting targets for performance and monitoring the quality of delivery and outcomes; A relevant Third level qualification with an emphasis on business/organisational management.
Skills Requirements
Excellent knowledge of financial standards and financial procedures Excellent IT skills. Ability to make full use of Microsoft Office products e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint; Strong planning and organisational skills; Experience of administration and record keeping in an office environment; A strong focus on quality customer service; Experience in developing, designing and promoting the delivery of new and appropriate programmes/initiatives for unemployed people
