Background
HAIL – Housing Association for Integrated Living has over 32 years experience and a strong reputation in providing both quality housing and floating support services to persons with mental health issues in their own homes across Dublin, Kildare and Portlaoise.
Our Regional Service provides support to clients in non- HAIL tenancies, for example; in local authority, private rented and other voluntary housing body tenures. Funded both by the four Dublin Local Authorities and the HSE, our remit is two fold; to provide tenancy sustainment thus preventing homelessness and to build on a person’s mental health recovery in their community, therefore, reducing hospital admissions and client distress.
Over the past 5 years, our service has provided practical, emotional, social, psychological and mental well being support to over 340 individual tenants and ensured that there was an evident improvement, not just in their housing, but their quality of life, social integration, self esteem and civic responsibility.
