The Avalon Centre is a vibrant and energetic community centre located in the heart of Sligo Town. The centre provides a diverse range of programmes and services to meet the needs of the local and wider communities both young and old. The Avalon Centre is the leading choice for integrated youth activities in Sligo to include our Youth Clubs, Saturday Fun Club, Our Show, Kids Adventure and Summer Camps.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Programme Coordinator for our Musical Theatre programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering a Musical Theatre programme that aims to build resilience and self-esteem in children and young people aged between 10 and 17 years old including those who are experiencing chronic or serious problems.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Candidates should hold a third level qualification in Performing Arts or equivalent area.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing and delivering similar Musical Theatre programmes
Excellent working knowledge and experience of approaches to developing social and emotional skills
