About the job
We are currently recruiting Online Community Moderators to contribute to the day to day operation of our online peer support community. Moderators are an essential part of the turn2me team. They are responsible for monitoring the peer support element of the site and ensuring the space is kept safe for members. Moderators will also be tasked with creating and editing content for our website, as well as operating our social media platforms, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring posts to ensure they are not breaking community guidelines and ensuring the online community remains a safe space.
Checking in and making sure community members are not at risk of harm.
Escalating posts as necessary to the crisis management team.
Creating and editing mental health promotion content (articles / blog posts on the topic of mental health) for the turn2me website.
Working as part of a team to meet / ensure
Working with the online community manager according to turn2me’s policies, procedures and ethos
Carry out any other duties as may from time to time be required by management.
The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
Currently studying in the field of psychology / counselling / health promotion / social care AND / OR A minimum of 1 years work or voluntary experience in this area (E)
Previous experience of membership of an online community (D)
Access to own laptop (E)
Ability to work from home (E)

Strong communication skills.
Proficient IT skills.
Good understanding of self-care practices.
Empathetic and non-judgmental.
Having an understanding of boundaries and being comfortable setting boundaries with others.
An interest in promoting positive mental health in the online community.
