Description
Report to the senior management team to deliver specific operational and commercial targets.Liaise with transport providers (combination of ?in-house? and third party to ensure timely intake and dispatch of product, translating transport schedules into operational and labour plans.Manage, motivate and engage staff to deliver the best service to customers.Transmit route scheduling to relevant employees.Implement manual updates to daily deviations from the plan.Work closely with suppliers and stores on delivery and collection enquiries.Maintain and improve standards, ensuring smooth handover between shifts.Maintain a working environment in line with Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality Legislation and ensure that employees are trained accordingly.Through the operational management teams be responsible for the management of the warehouse colleagues including the scheduling of contracted hours, monitoring performance and improving productivity.
Skills Requirements
Proven track record in Operation Management.Customer focused and driven.High level of computer literacy Ability to interpret and analyse data.Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to deal effectively with customer demands and resolve issues in a positive manner.Good organisation and administration skills detail orientated with a strong ability to multi task in a fast moving environment.
