Operations Manager (Part-Time) – Digital Action

Key responsibilities include:
Oversee and manage our external accounting and payroll relationships.
Oversee the relationship with our fiscal sponsorship organisation, including reviewing monthly financial reports, working with them on contracting consultants, invoicing and payments.
Support the Director in staff and intern recruitment, contracting and onboarding, and oversee personnel and leave records.
Organise quarterly Advisory Board meetings, agenda, papers & minutes.
Keep track of grant reporting requirements.
Ensure a productive workspace in the offices by maintaining office supplies and equipment.
Liaise with and manage lawyers, insurance brokers, accountants, auditors, contractors, office space and service providers as needed.
Provide occasional support on logistics for projects including organising travel, venues, equipment or catering for interviews or workshops.

The successful candidate will have:
At least four years’ experience in an operations role.
Excellent organisational skills, and experience building systems and practices that make teams run more efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to identify and speak up when further assistance is needed and/or processes are not working.

Excellent judgement including financial and risk assessment skills.
Self-directed and autonomous with the ability to work remotely and be self-motivated. An adaptive and flexible approach, with proven ability to work in a start-up environment.
Tech skills. Very comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Google Suite, Salesforce, Slack, and Zoom.
Ability to manage complex projects and hit deadlines every time – you should be the one checking up on the Director and Board to make sure they’re on track, not the other way around.
