Since our foundation in 2004, SEI has supported more than 375 social entrepreneurs across the country.
Key Elements of Role:
Governance: Implement, evaluate and continuously develop the organisation’s governance and reporting requirements in consultation with relevant team members, ensuring that SEI is well governed, accountable and transparent in all areas. This includes coordinating all board and sub-committee meetings. Work with the CEO and other team members to prepare all meeting agendas, board memos, and other board papers. Develop and manage all internal policies and procedures to ensure that SEI meets all regulatory and other voluntary codes of practice, including the Charities Governance code. Manage SEI’s regular updates to Charities Regulator & Companies Registration Office.
Human Resources: Be a key support in developing the SEI team to ensure that we are effectively set-up for our current delivery and future organisational growth. With support from the Director of Operations and the hiring manager, the Operations Manager will play a key role in recruitment, on-boarding and induction of new staff. Develop and maintain HR processes and practices, to support a high-performing team. Support in the planning and implementation of team training and development plans.
SEI’s values: SEI’s values are Visionary, Impact Driven and Authentic. The Operations Manager will coordinate the SEI Values Working Group, with a primary focus of embedding these values across the organisation.
Project management – The Operations Manager will manage a number of projects throughout the year. This includes but is not limited to the annual financial audit, with the support of the Operations team, and the annual report with support from the Communications team.
Systems: Be a key support in developing and providing support on the internal systems to keep the organisation running smoothly, including CRM, internal and external reporting, project management, and financial management processes.
Other: The Operations Manager plays a significant role in supporting the Operations team to achieve its annual strategic objectives. On occasion, you may be asked to undertake other duties in line with your role.
Candidate Profile:
Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
A high degree of enthusiasm, reliability, adaptability.
Self-starter who will take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
Team player, collaborates and shares information with other team members.
2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
Experienced project manager with a track record in developing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Location: SEI’s office is in Warrington Place, Dublin 2. Currently team members are working remotely due to Covid-19. Flexible working arrangements are available.
Reporting to: Director of Operations
Salary Range: €32,000 – €38,000 fulltime; 4 day week with pro rata salary may be considered.
