Responsibility: To report to the Manager and Team Leader
Responsible for: Assisting the Manager and Team Leader with the delivery and organisation of the Tallaght Rehabilitation Therapeutic Day Programme.
Objective: To support the planning, development and delivery of an appropriate service for people in the Tallaght area who are stable or drug and alcohol free. This service caters for individuals who are progressing within a therapeutic recovery process from addiction issues.
Hours of Work: This is a part time position comprising of 29 hours per week.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience with third level relevant qualifications.
Experience of working in a therapeutic setting and working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Be competent and experienced in facilitating group therapy sessions in particular, relapse prevention groups.
Skilled in task-oriented keyworking and care plans with clients.
Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of addiction and stages of recovery.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent record keeping and reporting skills are required for this role.
Demonstrate a good knowledge of addiction.
Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to work on their own initiative.
Membership of the ACI (Addiction Counsellors of Ireland) is desirable.
Responsibilities
To support the Manager and Team Leader in identifying the needs of the clients who engage in the Therapeutic Day Programme and the Tallaght Wide Aftercare services.
Facilitate therapeutic groups, relapse prevention workshops etc.
Facilitate individual key working and devise care plans with clients.
Conduct assessments and outreach presentations to statutory, voluntary and community organisations.
To keep and maintain effective record systems.
To work as a member of a team in order to fulfil the policies, aims and objectives, values, mission statement and ethos of Tallaght Rehabilitation Project Ltd.
To work in a professional and objective manner with individuals accessing the services.
To liaise and network with other agencies i.e. statutory, voluntary and community.

Salary €22,448 pro rata (€11,224.20 for 6 months).
