Dundalk Simon Community in partnership with the Louth HSE Disability Service seeks to recruit a Person In Charge to manage a residential service for individuals with intellectual disability. S/he will be responsible for the day to day running of the house, for supporting and supervising staff in the delivery of a high quality service that complies with all standards and regulations, and for ensuring the overall management of the Project through any tasks delegated by the Director of Services.

Job Purpose
The PIC has responsibility for ensuring that the Crescent Project, and the care given to residents within it, is fit for purpose and in line with Dundalk Simon’s policy and procedures, national standards and HIQA regulations.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Health or Social Care or equivalent (NFQ Level 7 minimum), a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role in a similar service, and will evidence excellent knowledge of HIQA standards.
The PIC must be flexible in his/her approach to working evenings and weekends in accordance with the needs of the Project. S/he must also have a full clean driver’s license.
The salary associated with the post will be in keeping with qualifications and experience but will not exceed €44,000 per annum. An additional on-call allowance will be payable.
