Farmlee Childcare is currently recruiting a Preschool Manager working with children aged 2½ – 6 years.  The working days are Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Essential Requirements

Must hold a Fetac level 8 or be in the process of completing the higher award.
Minimum of 3 years in childcare with 1 of those in management.
Knowledge of Aistear & Siolta.
Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Self motivation and flexibility.
Knowledge of the Childcare (Preschool Services) Regulations 2006.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and email.

Responsibilites

To manage the service and ensure that staff are adhering to policies and procedures in line with HSE guidelines.
To review and develop the policies and procedures on a regular basis.
Planning, reviewing and implementing the Preschool curriculum
Documenting the children’s learning and development i.e. written observations
To ensure that required standards, ratios and conditions of Childcare (Preschool Services) Regulations 2006 are maintained at all times.
Planning annual meetings with the parents discussing the children’s learning and development.
Monitoring all Childcare Protection issues and to ensure that the necessary action is taken.
To carry out the role of designated Child Protection person for the service.
Orgainisng events such as Christmas show, Easter hunt and school tour.
Implementing Aistear and Siolta in the service to the highest possible standard.
