Primary Health Care Co-Ordinator – Pavee Point Traveller & Roma Centre – Dublin 1

Description

Key tasks involve (1) To jointly coordinate the PHC Project (2) To develop, implement & review needs assessments & training modules for the TCHWs (3) To develop annual & quarterly workplans in conjunction with all stakeholders towards addressing & improving the health status of the local Traveller community & responding to their health needs (4) To write quarterly & annual reports on the work/outputs of the project for the Steering Committee & regional THU (5) To collect data & qualitative info to facilitate the ongoing documentation of the outcomes of the PHC Project (6) To support & supervise the delivery of health programmes with & by the TCHWs (7) To develop new initiatives to respond to the ongoing & emerging needs of the local Traveller community in partnership with the TCHWs & the Steering Committee (8) To support the ongoing development of culturally appropriate health materials for the project (9) To monitor & evaluate the work of the PHC Project on an ongoing basis.

Skills Requirements

Professional knowledge in the area of of health promotion, primary health care, community development and national strategies with a focus to improving the quality of life of Irish Travellers and marginalized groups. Evidence of being a team player & skills in partnership & team working essential. Evidence of effective planning training and organizing skills. Ability to manage deadlines & effectively manage multiple tasks. Effective communication skills. Be self-directed and motivated.
