Principal Family Psychotherapist – Genesis Psychotherapy and Family Therapy Services – Blanchardstown, Dublin 15

Genesis is seeking to appoint a Principal Family Therapist for our service in Blanchardstown.

Reporting to the board the Principal Family Psychotherapist will be responsible for the delivery of services to the clients of Genesis Psychotherapy and Family Therapy Services a community support service.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the day to day clinical supervision and delivery of Psychotherapy services to Genesis clients.
Approximately 40% of your time doing client work and therapy. 2 days therapy / 3 days clinical management.
Clinical responsibility for managing, monitoring and directing the team of Genesis therapists.  This will include CPD, training and clinical guidance and support as required. Monitoring and mentoring interns.
Engage with the appointed clinical supervisor to maintain clinical standards and co-ordinate supervisors report for the board. Manage engagement between supervisor and therapists; to oversee client outcomes and continued best practice.
Liaise directly with external agencies such as the Túsla, Blanchardstown Local Drugs Task Force, The Clanwilliam Institute and other such relevant community groups, funders and networks as directed by the board.
Be the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) with overall responsibility for monitoring and reporting child protection issues.
Attend meetings and training (internal and external) as required by the board to maintain a sustained high quality service in a multidisciplinary therapy centre.
Prepare monthly reports as required to demonstrate accountability and visibility into the ongoing quality of service delivery.
Provide first class clinical governance, implementing and improving policies, processes and systems.
Assist in preparing of funding applications (such as Túsla/HSE) for Genesis as approved by the board.
Perform other duties as may be assigned to meet ongoing demands and requirements of the service.
Must be flexible on working hours. The role is a 39 hour week. Genesis operates both in the morning and evenings. Work time needs to meet the demands of the service as appropriate as agreed with the board.

Qualifications:

Be an Accredited member of Family Therapy Association of Ireland (FTAI),
Recommended minimum of 5 years post registration experience in the practice of systemic Family Therapy.
2 Years experience of managing a service or similar experience
Competent Computer IT skills for reporting, communication and presentations.
Experience in community based projects and delivery
Be an Accredited member of a recognised association for counselling / psychotherapy.
