The Kilmore West Youth Project supports young people aged 10-24 years in the community. We do this by providing a safe place for youth work interventions and mechanisms to address the needs of young people at risk. We support Young People to reach their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who will be responsible for the effective planning and delivery of an existing Youth Service. We are now seeking to recruit the full time position of Project leader for Kilmore West Youth Project.
Project leader (Ref PL)
The role involves:
Managing, delivering & ensuring quality of Youth Work practice & delivery. This practice involves centre based, outreach, 1-1 group work etc.
Ensuring Kilmore’s philosophy and inclusive approach with young people is maintained.
Ensuring there is a reflective practice approach taken to the delivery and the capacity to lead the Youth Work team in this regard
Overseeing & ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures
Ensuring all necessary administration, recording, monitoring & reporting is carried out
Salary: point 1 to 5 of CDYSB salary scale
The successful candidate will require:
A professionally endorsed qualification in Youth & Community work with at least 5 years’ experience of Youth Work delivery post qualification
or
Equivalent professional qualification or relevant degree plus at least 7 years experience of Youth Work delivery, post qualification.
Experience of managing a Youth work team desirable.
Demonstrated flexible attitude and positive orientation towards work
Capacity to ensure the organisational policies and procedures support the needs-led nature of the practice.
Effective organisational, administrative, communication, IT, analytical and research skills
Capacity to balance the requirements of a line management role with a direct delivery role
All posts require the successful candidates to work scheduled hours at evenings and weekends.
