The Mendicity Institution www.mendicity.org is the oldest working charity in Dublin. Established in 1818, it has been in operation for nearly 200 years creating opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, isolation and marginalization. We help people empower themselves so they can work their way out of homelessness. We are inclusive, we are innovative and we provide quality service to all people who come to us. In 2016 The Mendicity’ served over 20,000 meals and offered assistance to more than 200 homeless service users through Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Romanian along with English. We are looking to recruit a Project Worker – Front of House

Title of Job: Project Worker – Front of House

Purpose of Job: To meet, greet and direct people who present to our service.

Main responsibilities:
Greet service users in a professional and friendly manner.
Provide information regarding services and assistance available.
Schedule appointments with the staff in various projects.
Provide security inside the building and its environs
Contract terms and duration:

The Mendicity Food Service is open to the public Monday to Friday from 9 to 1 and Saturday 10 – 11

21 hours each week
There is an opportunity to work part time within these hours and on a shared basis
