Psychology Support Workers pay particular attention to supporting Positive Behavioural Supports interventions, Individual Plans, and enhancing individual’s emotional wellbeing in conjunction with the unit’s psychologist.

The successful Psychology Support Worker candidate must have the following:
Qualifications required:
Level 8 Degree in a Psychology Accredited Course
Essential Experience Required:
Demonstrate an ability to form trusting and respectful relationships with people with intellectual disabilities and to be responsive to and guided by their needs and wishes.
Understanding of the application of psychological theory to the promotional of psychological wellbeing for individual service users.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of positive behaviours support and the ability to complete and analyze behavioural recordings
Be flexible in their work and be conscious of working in the individual’s community setting and home.
Demonstrate high levels of interest and energy in actively working with individuals in their community
To have a full clean drivers licence and be prepared to drive individuals, if required to do so.
Be respectful of the individual’s personal belongings and home environment.
Desirable Experience required:
To have some experience in intellectual disability
