Food Company based in Dublin15 is seeking an experienced QA Manager with expertise within HACCP, BRC and main Retailers standards. This contract is to cover a period of maternity leave currently estimated at 6 to 8 months. Responsibilities: Own, manage and maintain and improve BRC certified quality management system Be Site champion for quality. Internal auditing to BRC standards and main retailers. HACCP team lead. Allergens management. Manage incoming inspections programme. Manage quality and hygiene team. Hygiene and food safety auditing. Staff training ? QA procedures and hygiene. Maintain sampling plan and laboratory analysis of raw materials and finish products. Raw material supplier approval. Specifications writing, approval and upkeep for raw materials and finished goods Liaise with customer complaint including investigation and follow up. Maintaining up to date technical knowledge. Technical point of contact for HSE, BRC and customers.
Skills Requirements
Minimum of 3 plus years experience in a quality role in the food industry. A degree in food science or related discipline. Robust understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. Hands on experience of BRC audit and main retailers audit. Ability to work on one?s own initiative as well as part of a team. Driven to continuously improve. Proven leadership skills. Excellent communication skills. Excellent IT skills. Attention to detail.
