Residential Deputy Manager – Positive Care Ireland – Co Wicklow

The Deputy Unit Manager will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a service aimed at meeting the needs of children and young people looked after by Positive Care Ireland. The Deputy Unit Manager is responsible for assisting the unit manager in all aspects of the running of the house, and managing the house in the managers absence.The relationship between the Unit Manager and Deputy is vital to the long term success of Positive Care Ireland. The Deputy Unit Manager reports directly to the Unit Manager on all matters relating to the house, and they collaborate on all issues arising in the house. Main Duties and Responsibilities:Young People:To assist the Unit Manager in ensuring at all times that all children and young people living in or using the house in any capacity are looked after safely, professionally and in a way which ensures that they achieve their maximum potential, in line with PCIs mission and vision.

Skills Requirements

Qualifications:Essential:Professional qualification in Child Care, Psychology, Sociology, Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Social Work, Teaching, Nursing, Youth work, or any relevant discipline.A valid driving licence.Basic to Intermediate-level Microsoft package computer skills.Desirable: Certificate of competence in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and experience of operating and/or managing services within which this system is used.
