The Copper Coast Geopark is recruiting an experienced Retail Manager for the Visitor Centre, with responsibility for the Gift Shop, Cafe and Geological & Mining Heritage Exhibition. We are seeking an energetic, socially and community minded hospitality professional with the capacity to build a financially sustainable retail operation and deliver an enjoyable and enriching tourism experience. The priority goal of the successful candidate will be to build the business in the Café and Gift Shop, maximising profit while minimising costs and achieving efficiency in purchase and sales. While the position is only for a four month term, if the successful candidate builds the business profitably, there may be opportunities to extend or renew the contract. Experience and/or third level qualification in heritage, tourism, business, retail, hospitality and/or cafe management. Demonstrated ability to manage and report against a budget, reach sales targets and financial growth.

Skills Requirements

Superior written, communication and interpersonal skills. Online media marketing experience a distinct advantage. Must be highly organised, confident and proactive. Must be be flexible and available to work weekends and occasional evenings and passionate about customer service.
