The Janus programme aims to prevent reception into care and/or to support community or foster placements. The programme also aims to support young people returning to the community from residential care/ custody.

The programme provides intensive wraparound services to young people assessed as being in need, and offers a community based alternative to care.

The programme is creative and dynamic, utilising local, regional and national resources to facilitate intervention strategies. Planned and responsive overnights and residentials are integral to the programmes.

Service Coordinators will be required to support all aspects of the programme in a flexible manner as part of a team. They will work in close partnership with statutory agencies, community resources and the young person’s family.
