Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership and Planning:
Work closely with the Head of Active Citizenship
Coordinate a dynamic team of four direct reports
Demonstrate effective and efficient planning, implementation and reporting
Manage relationships with school networks, individual schools, teachers and students/youth
Be responsible for maintaining the AC Programme database, ensuring accurate and up to date records
Effectively use regular M&E feedback for reports as well as to adjust programming and ensure relevance
Ensure adherence to and report on the programme budget.
Liaise closely with other functions of the Public Affairs Directorate
External Relations:
Represent Concern on relevant networks, consortia and associations as well as at seminars, events and conferences
Contribute to the management of external agencies, such as design, print and events groups and ensuring that their work meets best practice and value for money requirements
Engage in effective communications of the programme through up to date and effective use of the website, as well as a strong presence on social and digital media.
Ensure that the values, the brand, and core messages of Concern are evident in all aspects of the position
Person Specification:
Essential:
A Third level qualification
Is dynamic and energetic and enjoys working with young people
Has a minimum of three years Development Education experience working with schools and youth
Experience coordinating projects or events primarily targeting a youth audience
Experience working directly with teachers and youth leaders
Experience working in networks, coalitions and groups
Experience in producing education resources targeting a youth audience
Experience in writing funding proposals and reporting on same
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) coupled with experience delivering talks in classrooms as well as speaking at seminars and public events
Excellent social media and computer skills including database and web content procurement
Experience working as an effective and productive member of a team
Is available to work unsocial hours and travel to
