Description

There is an immediate vacancy for the position of Security Officer based in South Dublin to provide back-up cover on an ongoing basis. There is a guarantee of 20 hours weekly (based on an average over four weeks) and the operation is 24 hours a day, including weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work shifts of up to 12 hours and will be required to be available for extra shifts as the need arises, and occasionally at short notice. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Exercising complete control of the clients site by operating barriers and gates. Ensuring permission to enter the site is restricted to persons with correct authorisation. Being familiar with both Grosvenor and the clients security policies and procedures. Managing and reporting of emergencies and incidents. Undertaking site patrols where required.

Skills Requirements

Skills and Experience Required: Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Valid PSA licence. Valid Safe Pass card. Educated to Leaving Cert or equivalent. Minimum of one year?s experience in a similar role. Excellent interpersonal skills. Capable of working on own initiative and unsupervise. Be in good health and be capable of working long hours. Strong situational awareness. A qualification in First Aid would be an advantage.
