Description
In the role of Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be expected to provide effective leadership to a team of Manufacturing/Process Engineers and Technicians. You will be expected to deliver results by focusing on Process Control/Stabilisation, New Product Introductions/Transfers, and Process Improvement/Development. A key requirement of the role is the ability to have problems (relating to manufacturing processes) resolved satisfactorily/timely using best practice. Lead a team of Engineers and Technicians to deliver high impact technical support to manufacturing operations. Understand the engineering team skill-set and capabilities and to put plans in place to develop the manufacturing engineering team appropriately. Lead the maintenance/development of existing manufacturing processes to deliver efficiency, yield and unit cost improvement
Skills Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (HETAC level 8). Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Medical Device Manufacturing in successfully managing projects and leading teams of Engineers and Technicians. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience at senior manufacturing engineering level necessary. Working knowledge of Lean Engineering principles and/or Six Sigma with a proven track record in use and delivery of results. Excellent planning, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
