Number of Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Waterford and Waterford Community

The Role: We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager to lead, manage and develop our residential service in Waterford as well as our community-based services in and around Co. Waterford.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a safe and quality service and will set standards to be proud of whilst continually reviewing the service provision with a view to continuous improvement and value for money.

The Person: The successful candidate will be a motivated and dynamic person with strong leadership skills who is able to positively influence people and events, foster a culture of understanding and trust, and create team spirit. In addition, the successful candidate will:

Hold a degree or equivalent or relevant professional qualification.
Have a minimum of 3 years’ people management experience and be able to show evidence of being a strong leader and/or influencer (experience within the disability or broad personal social services field is desirable).
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Be computer & IT literate (strong computer skills, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint etc.).
Have the ability to overcome personal and professional challenges and to use reflective practice and feedback as a tool for personal development.
Have the ability to maintain composure in difficult or challenging situations.
Be abreast of current developments in inclusion and individualisation issues in Ireland and internationally.
Have an awareness of good practices in the provision of person-centred services and can demonstrate sensitivity to the issues experienced by people with physical disabilities and neurological conditions.
Be in possession of the necessary documentation to work and live in the Republic of Ireland.
Hold a full (clean) driving licence and be willing to travel for work on a regular basis and outside of normal working hours when required.
Speak and write English fluently.

Salary range: Dependent on experience
