At Pathways Ireland, we work from a relationship and competency model that stresses the importance of a client centred approach as well as high accountability and performance from the staff working with us. We offer needs led approach and we work collaboratively with young people, their families and any professionals deemed suitable for involvement with the young people.
Pathways Ireland takes the view that young people entering into the service have experienced deprivation and are in a place of crisis and distress. The role of staff members is to take a positive view of each young person, used a strengths based approach, and always seek a way to help young people gain a sense of achievement and self-worth in order take steps towards a better future.
We are seeking highly motivated people who can work off their own initiative, can follow direction, who are great team players and have a genuine interest in the care of young people.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of Residential Child Care, inclusive of but not limited to; government legislation, social policies, theory relevant to child care, child protection procedures, multi-disciplinary work, person centred planning, managing crisis and professional report writing.

Eligibility criteria-
The candidate must possess a BA in Applied Social Studies (or other relevant third level qualification).
Three years post qualification experience
