Applications are invited for the post of Child Care Worker/Social Care Worker supporting children with a mild learning disability in our Residential Service within Saint Augustine’s School.

Based in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Saint Augustine’s School is a co-educational day and boarding school providing educational, social, recreational and vocational training programmes for approximately 155 students with mild intellectual disability. The Residential Service at St. Augustine’s operates between Monday afternoon and Friday morning.

The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or equivalent
A proven track record in the delivery of person centered planning
Experience of working with children with a learning disability in residential setting advantageous
Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant HIQA regulation, all other relevant legislation as well as relevant social care models
Be innovative, resourceful, flexible and have excellent communication, interpersonal, administrative and co-ordination skills.
A flexible working approach that responds to the changing needs of a 24 hour service
A Full Clean Driver’s License
