The World Meeting of Families comes to Ireland!
Dublin, Ireland, has been chosen by Pope Francis to host the next World Meeting of Families in August 2018. This major world event celebrates family as the cornerstone of our lives, and the fundamental building block of society and the Church. Families from all over the world will gather in Dublin from 21-26 August 2018 programme of workshops, talks and discussions for adults; an engaging and exciting programme for young people as well as faith and fun activities for children. WMOF2018 will include the daily celebration of Mass, a festival of families’ event, exhibitions, cultural events, musical performances and events around the country.
World Meeting of Families 2018 Limited by Guarantee is a company setup to plan and deliver the scheduled events in 2018. We are a small friendly energetic team and are now looking to add more staff to work with us in the preparations for the events in August 2018. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a fast paced team environment and who can bring the skill we need to deliver this exciting event in August 2018. Position
The Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategy for the delivery of significant and appropriate corporate sponsorship associated with the planned events and activities which will facilitate the effective hosting of a successful World Meeting of Families 2018. This role will be a fixed term contract.
Reporting to the General Manager Duties include:
Review and assess all aspects of the WMOF2018 planning and programme, in conjunction with project and operations managers, and prepare detailed reports on opportunities such as sponsorship, commercial partnerships and new sales and revenue streams
Identify potential sponsors, and the potential benefits to them of association with the World Meeting of Families.
Manage the process from approach (including presentation design) to contract with the sponsor, ensuring that the correct documentation is agreed and signed.
Ensure that commitments regarding sponsorship deals, major exhibitors and features are delivered on time and as agreed.
Knowledge (Education & Related Experience):
A proven track-record in sponsorship sales
An established knowledge of the festival and events industry
An established knowledge of working in the Charities Sector
An established knowledge of creative pitch writing and presentation.
An understanding of the ethos and objectives of the World Meeting 2018
