Description
Working in conjunction with the Accounts Team, Plant Manager, Estimating & Engineering team. Taking ownership of our stores including managing materials in and out of our onsite and offsite store. Stock taking & stock security. Signing in and out materials. Filling out necessary manual and electronic documentation. Running the store in an efficient manner checking stock levels and ensuring stock security. Placing requisitions and purchase orders directly suppliers as required. Balancing stock levels in our onsite and offsite store on a bi-weekly / rolling basis. Identifying any recurring issues and suggesting internal control and process improvements. Placing external hire orders with our assigned hire suppliers. Working with the plant manager to ensure a full oversight of all external hired items. Helping to maintain the hired plant & equipment register. Other accounts & administrative duties, including staffing the reception as required.
Skills Requirements
Experience within a similar role, preferably within the construction / civil engineering industry. Familiarity with common material names, descriptions and sources / means of supply. Experience with stock control and management. Fluent written and spoken English, communication skills. The ability to work on their own initiative, recognising potential problems and seeking solutions. Commercial awareness with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent IT skills.
